October 8th will mark six months since the Total Solar Eclipse which West Plains had the good fortune to experience. To commemorate the event and “The Year of the Eclipse,” we will bury a time capsule containing information about our town and how the community celebrated the eclipse. We also plan to plant a dogwood

Organizers say there will be free Games, Hot Dogs, Inflatables, Candy.    

From Head Start organizers: There will be information booths, community resource representatives, games for kids and “Touch a Truck” (police, ambulance, fire, swat, city trucks, tow trucks, etc.) This event is free and open to the community. October is Head Start Awareness Month: Great minds begin at Head Start!
