Disaster Preparedness for Organizations sponsored by The West Plains Arts Alliance and the Council on the Arts
110 St. Louis Street

From organizers:
Continuing programming by the West Plains Council on the Arts (WPCA) to support The Alliance: Arts and Cultural Organizations (Arts Alliance) will feature a presentation on Disaster Preparedness, focusing on artists/crafters and venues specifically. However, the information presented would be applicable to any organization or personal collection/property needs as well. This program is free and open to the public.
The program will be conducted by Kathleen Morrissey, President of West Plains Council on the Arts.
Presentation is based on materials developed by CERF+ The Artists Safety Net. “CERF+ was started by artists for artists in the craft community as a grassroots mutual aid effort in 1985 and has since emerged as the leading nonprofit organization that uniquely focuses on safeguarding artists’ livelihoods nationwide. CERF+ serves artists who work in craft disciplines by providing a safety net to support strong and sustainable careers. Our core services are education programs, advocacy, network building and emergency relief.”
Join us as we learn how to adapt these materials to current organizations’ needs. Discussion will feature methods for identifying assets and safeguarding against unexpected loss.
