Those auditioning are asked to bring a YouTube link of a musical cut, no longer than a minute, from the show or in the style of the show (Annie Get Your Gun, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, etc.). An accompanist will not be provided.
Sides will be provided from the show for a cold read.
3 males, 3 females. Some characters could be gender-swapped.
14+ are welcome to audition. Actors with improvisation skills are encouraged to audition.
Please note that while the original production includes strong language and adult situations, this will be the more appropriate School-Friendly Version with some innuedo still in tact.

Characters / The Wagon Party:
Father: Male. Ages 30s-40s. Any race. Tenor. The high energy, happy go-lucky leader or the wagon party. Actor will also play a variety of bit parts.
Mother: Female. Ages 30s-40s. Any race. Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano. Protective mother that honestly is the only one with a bit of common sense that she uses to be the glue that holds the party and family together and in the ideal world to keep them all alive. Actor will also play a variety of bit parts.
Daughter: Female. Plays Teenager. Any race. Mezzo-soprano. Love hungry and focused daughter coming to age of adulthood. Actor will also play a variety of bit parts.
Son: Male or Female. Plays 7 years old . Soprano. Idolizes his father and just trying to figure out the new world of the trail that he’s now found himself in.
Grandpa/Cletus Jones: Male. Any age range. Baritone. As Grandpa, he may be losing his wits, or maybe they’ve been gone for years. Cletus Jones is the sidekick to the notorious “The Bandit King” that tries to strike fear into the parties traveling down the trail.
The Bandit King, Ox, and everyone else: Male. 20-40s. Tenor/Baritone. This part is an equivalent to running a marathon of characters.
