Sponsored by the West Plains Council on the Arts (WPCA), the Pumpkin Decorating Competition is part of the Downtown Fall Block Party. Entries of pre-carved or painted pumpkins will be accepted between noon and 1 p.m. at the WPCA booth located in the northwest corner of the square.

Entries will be on display throughout the event, which lasts until 5 p.m., with winners to be announced at 4 p.m. People’s Choice winner will be announced just before closing at 5 p.m.

Competition categories include:

     Youth (under 14) – scariest, cutest, funniest

     Adult – most original, most artistic, most beautiful

All entries will be eligible for the Best of Show and People’s Choice awards.
